PassTheBot

Terms of Service

Last updated 27 July 2026

These Terms govern your use of PassTheBot (the “Service”), operated from the United Kingdom. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The service

PassTheBot analyses your CV against a job advertisement and reports a match score, the requirements you are missing, formatting issues that can affect automated parsing, and suggested rewrites of your existing experience. The score is a diagnostic aid, not a hiring decision or a prediction of any outcome. We do not guarantee interviews, offers, or employment.

2. Eligibility & your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

3. Your content & honest use

You retain ownership of the CV files, job descriptions, and other content you submit. You grant us a limited licence to process that content solely to provide the Service to you. You are responsible for the accuracy of your CV, and you agree not to use the Service to fabricate qualifications, employers, dates, or history. Our rewrites are designed to reword genuine experience only.

4. Plans, billing & cancellation

Free accounts include one full report. Paid plans (Monthly and the Job Hunt Pass) unlock unlimited scans and rewrites and are billed in USD through our payment processor, Stripe. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account and will keep access until the end of the period already paid for. Except where required by law, fees already charged are non-refundable.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including attempting to circumvent usage or anti-abuse limits, disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service, or upload content you do not have the right to submit.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and content (excluding your own submitted content), belongs to PassTheBot and is protected by applicable law. These Terms grant you no rights in it beyond use of the Service as intended.

7. Disclaimers & liability

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties and are not liable for hiring outcomes or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above, and continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
